The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a dedicated individual to assist our human resources program.  It is our mission to implement and sustain programs that meet the needs of Wisconsin Veterans now and in the future.  This position is responsible for providing support to the department's staff to meet our mission's goal. If you're detail oriented, a team player, and want to make a difference in supporting Veterans, then we're looking for you to join our team.

Salary: Starting salary will be between $34,600 and $41,760 annually.

Job Duties: This paraprofessional administrative support position is responsible for providing advanced program support in the Central Human Resources Office for a wide variety of program activities.   

 HTA: Apply with an Application for State Employment (OSER-DMRS-38), Veterans Preference Supplement (if applicable), a resume, and a paper limited to 4 pages addressing the following:

 

1.       HR Support - Describe your education and/or work experience in supporting human resources functions as outlined in this position’s job duties.

2.       Customer Service - Describe your experience in providing customer service in the form of information and assistance.  Include customer service provided to individuals both internal and external to your organization, and the type of media used (phone, in-person, email, etc.)

3.       Computer Experience - Describe your education and/or experience in working with computer applications, such as spreadsheets; word processing; email; web browsers; and human resources specific applications/software.  For experience, name the applications used and describe the duties you performed with each.
