# per week to 100% is the number need weekly to achieve 100% by Dec 31, 2009.

The race to 100% is closing into a tight race!  there is only 1.21% between 1st and 5th place.  Even better yet...there is only 2.32% between 1st and 9th place!!!

GREAT JOB DISTRICT COMMANDERS!!!!

The climb to the top is not going to get easier at this point, but it is a climb we can make together!  District Commanders, personally contact all of your posts who are less than 85% and find out what their situation is.  Find out what help they need to get their membership roles up to par.  Contact the Chief of what help they need.

We are rapidly coming to the close of the raffle as well.  The proceeds of this raffle help us keep the Department operating.  This money is used to pay salaries and upkeep of equipment and such.  You all know we are strapped pretty tight on funds, so really work hard to promoting the sale of these tickets.   Remind the posts they gain 50% of the proceeds, so it is good for them as well!

I am very proud of the team this year.  You all are working hard and we will all benefit greatly from your efforts.  Thanks for all you do.

Department At Large sits at 75.79%.  336 are needed to bring them to 100%.

Our Department currently is at 88.61%.  We remain in 8th place in the Nation and 2nd place in the Big 10 Conference.  These are the best pecentages we have been in years at this point in the year.

Despite that, there is no time to rest!  the November quotas are based on all Districts achieving 100% by December 31.  WE CAN DO THIS!

If you are going hunting, take some applications with you!  Hunters have money, so ask if they will be a member.

Also, take advantage of recruiting on Veterans Day and at the many Veterans Day events.  Their hearts are with America...sign them up!

DON'T FORGET TO PUSH THOSE RAFFLE TICKETS!!!

Thank you for all your hard work.  None of it goes by unnoticed.

Dues Round up Scheduled for November

Posted at 4:06 PM on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 by The State Commander in Membership

This year we are working membership from every angle we can think of.  The fairs have given us a good start along with the many members out there recruiting.  I Thank all of you for those hard efforts.

The Chief has designated October as "Thunder Month" for membership.  All posts are asked to get out and visit those annual unpaid members.  Talk to them about Life memberships and try to collect those dues.  Do membership drives to get new and reinstated members.  The single post who does the best at this (at least 75% of their remaining annual dues collected and the most new and reinstates by percentage) will get an unannounced reward.  The Chief says the prize is way cool, but won't even tell me what it is !!!

November 7-8 we will be doing Dues Roundups with the Ladies Auxiliary all over the state.  A schedule and Officer assignments are in the works.  This will give Posts an opportunity to visit with the State Officers and give a report of their membership accomplishments during the month of October.  Dues transmittals may also be handed to State Officers at that time if the Post wishes.

Those Posts who have not yet attained 80% in membership really need to get out and push hard on membership.  Our goal is for every District to be at least 95% by Christmas.  If you need help in your Post/District, we have National Recruiters who are here to assist you...USE THEM!  Contact the Chief of Staff and she will coordinate to get you a recruiter on a schedule that is mutually agreed on.

Membership is not accomplished for feathers in anyone's cap.  If you think that you have missed the main purpose of keeping an organization alive and operational.  Membership growth is necessary to keep your post well and functioning.  So let's all get out there in October and push hard so we have some real accomplishments to report in November!
