The following software programs are available for free either as Open Source Software or are made available for free by the various companies.  This is not an all-encompassing list but will provide you with many of the basic tools you may need to conduct Post business and/or may be useful for operating your VFW WebCOM Network Weblogs without breaking the bank.

Software	Purpose
FireFox	Free web browser alternative to Internet Explorer.  VFW WebCOM recommends Firefox for browsing the Network.
Open Office	Free, Open Source alternative to Microsoft Office.  All MS Office documents are compatible with Open Office.  It is a large download but will save your Post hundreds of dollars.
TurboCash or  GNUCash	Free small business accounting software.  Quickbooks alternatives.
Scribus	Need to do a post newsletter or flyers?  Download this free desktop publisher.
IrfanView	Great program for quickly cropping, resizing or converting images or photos.
Paint.net	Can't afford Adobe Photoshop?  This free image creator/editor has many of Photoshop's features without the cost.
Photoscape or Picasa	Free photo editors with various features for cropping, resizing, and touching up red-eyes, poor lighting or color enhancements.
Picnik.com	Online photo editor for those who would rather not download a photo editing program.
