Wreaths Across America
A ceremony will be held on Saturday December 13, 2008 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 o'clock noon. The Cemetery is located at 962 Old US 70 Highway, Black Mountain, NC.
Wreaths Across America was begun in 1992 by Morrill Worcester and his wife Karen of Harrington, ME. With the help of volunteers who made the wreaths, they took the trailer load of wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery and laid them at the graves of fallen soldiers.
On December 13, at 12 Noon these ceremonies will be held at National and State Veterans Cemeteries around the United States of America to Remember - Honor - and Teach the value of freedom in the world today.
There will be wreaths for each Branch of Service presented, a short program with a guest speaker.
You are invited to bring a wreath to lay at a comrade's grave. These will stay through the holidays.
