The Post and Auxiliary held their annual picnic on Friday, July 4, which is for all members, their families, and friends. Pat and Diana Anderson volunteered to be in charge again this year. They received very able assistance setting up things the day of the picnic from Irvin and Bessie Reynolds; Gene Silvey; and Jim and Carol Probasco.
Pat, who is becoming quite accomplished at the grill, kept plenty of burgers, brats, and hot dogs available.
An estimated 55 people enjoyed plenty of delicious food. We are very fortunate to have so many good cooks in the Post and Aux.
Besides celebrating our Nation’s independence, we were thankful our pavilion was ready in time for the picnic. Also, it was a time to remember comrades who could not be with us, especially Post member Frank Reeves, who passed away the previous night.
After enjoying a good meal, people took the time to visit for a while. A nice ending to a good time.
