(via VFW.org)A few weeks ago we asked our patriotic supporters what they thought were the most important issues our newest veterans face.
Thousands of concerned citizens spoke … and we listened!
Over 70% of those who responded to the 2008 Help Our Heroes Survey felt that the top issues facing our newest veterans are:
- Emotional Trauma
- Timely Receipt of Benefits
- Battle Injures
Now is the time to remind our leaders in Washington to keep their promises to care for our troops and veterans on the battlefield and when they return.
That’s why we are conducting the 2008 Help Our Heroes Petition Campaign.
Please sign the Petition now. The more signatures we have, the more powerful the message we will be sending our leaders.
More than 1.5 million men and women have served in the Global War on Terrorism.
Thousands have endured multiple, extended deployments … serious battle injuries … unspeakable emotional trauma … family hardships … the list goes on.
Our government has a responsibility — an absolute duty — to properly meet the needs of our newest heroes.
Our goal is to send 20,000 petitions to Congress as soon as possible…Thousands more troops will be sent to Afghanistan this spring!
When you sign the 2008 Help Our Heroes Petition,
it will be immediately emailed to YOUR Congressional Representative.

Let’s honor the sacrifice of our troops and veterans by holding our leaders to the promise they made to our defenders. The promise to care for them and their families in return for their brave service.
