VFW announces the 2008 National Golf Tournament. Two teams will be going to Scotland to play St. Andrews old and new courses as well as Carnoustie.
Each state will be sending two teams to play in the National Finals November 17-18 in Myrtle Beach. All state winners receive a pro-rated travel allowance to help pay for travel to Myrtle Beach, hotel accommodations for three nights, tournament golf fees, awards banquet and prizes. You will be playing on round on Golf Digest’s 73rd-rated public course and a second round on a sister course. You will be housed in two bedroom beachfront condos. The teams that win their flight will win 6-night Scotland trips.
This is a 4-man team scramble event, and there will be two flights-low gross for the scratch/low-handicap golfers and a random draw flight for the occasional player. Regardless of your golfing skills, everyone has a chance to win the Scotland Golf Trip. No handicaps are needed. Entry fee is $50 per golfer.
